vPad Introduction to Customization of PM Procedures
Course Pre-requisite:
Participants are REQUIRED to bring the following:
- Laptop computer running Windows
- vPad Android Tablet from vPad-ES or vPad-Rugged
- Recommended: Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or one of the primary cloud services available
Note: Attendees need to bring their vPads ES or Rugged (Fully Charged) with the Tablet and Power Cord to the Training.
Course Description:
This is an introduction course to customize automated PM Procedure using vPad-IDE for the vPad platform. No previous experience on vPad-IDE is required.
Course Agenda:
- Installation and setup of vPad-IDE
- Learning the application environment and menu options
- Understanding of Keywords and their associated options (where Keywords are different types of tests available in vPad)
- Creating and editing of basic PM procedures
- Packaging and Exporting procedures to vPad
- Running the newly created PM procedures in vPad
vPad Advanced Customization of PM Procedures
Course Pre-requisite:
Experience on using vPad-IDE and knowing how to create and edit PM procedures.

Course Description:
This is an advanced course on PM Procedure customization using the vPad-IDE. Participants will have an opportunity to create a procedure to control other Datrend and non-Datrend test equipment, directly from the vPad Electrical Safety Analyzer, allowing the user to operate the fully automated test from a single user interface.
Course Agenda:
- Learning on test equipment control and integration
- Understanding hardware requirements
- Custom PM procedure creation with other test equipment, which will include the Electrical Safety Testing, Functional Tests, and PM Checklist
- Running the procedure on a live system
